Writing outside of Facebook
It’s not that I can’t write things to y’all on Facebook. It’s more that my so called ‘friends’ there are a mix of cousins’ husbands, friends little nephews and what not...
Writing stuff for you there would really be out of place and confusing to these somewhat remote connections.
And as I expect to be needing pictures and such as we go along, I find it easier to put them on some dedicated web pages for you, instead of constructing emails, where the images may not show...
So here we go: A dedicated channel for the discussion of what happened in the last 31 years, life, the Universe, - everything! ;-)

Vikings went on a cruise all the time
I can see from your Facebook notes that ya’ll went on a cruise recently.
While we were chatting that first day, the world’s largest cruise ship ’Allure of the Seas’ was squeezing its way under one of the bridges in Denmark, on its way from the shipyards in Finland to Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
Seems the viking people are still the cruise specialists! :-)
- And Denmark is connected by bridges to pass.
Searching for old photos

So what happened in the last 31 years?
That’s an overwhelming question to ask yourself.
To begin with, I started searching for old photos from back then in Georgia. Deep down in a corner of my basement, I finally found boxes of old slides.
No one has a slide projector these days; but after a couple of days, I managed to borrow one at the university where I work. They say, it’s hardly ever used now, - except by a spanish professor now and then. (Figures!)
In my memory, I had taken a lot of photos in the U.S. - Hence the slides that were cheaper to develop - But in reality, it was a sorry bunch of dusty and faded views, mostly from car windows.
So I scanned the ones I have with you, and put them under ’Photos’ here to the left.
Handsome young man! - Right Donna? ;-)
